Granada Hills Aquatic Center Update

This Tuesday, Councilman Mitch Englander put in a motion to transfer $1,000,000 to the Bureau of Engineering to fund the full design process for these upgrades. The funds come from the Sunshine Canyon Community Amenities Trust Fund for improvements within 5-miles of the Sunshine Canyon Landfill.

The CD12 office is working with the Department of Recreation and Parks to renovate the Granada Hills Pool and Bathhouse. The new Aquatic Center will feature a new, 25-yard pool - regulation short course length used for high school and NCAA competitions. They will also be adding sports, security and underwater lighting. The Bathhouse will be brought into ADA compliance and will be given a major upgrade to make it a facility more suited to hold swim meets.

Design is the first phase of this construction and the City looks forward to turning over the new Aquatic Center to the Granada Hills community.
