Redistricting: Final public map hearings are *today* Tuesday, November 23 for City Council, LAUSD, US Congress, State elected offices
Who will represent you for the next 10 years? The final public meetings on proposed Redistricting maps for City Council, LA Unified School District, State elected offices, and US Congressional Districts are all taking place *today.* Tuesday, November 23, 2021.
Here are all the latest draft maps; virtual meeting details; and info on how to make public comments live or in writing.
You’ll have to keep an eye on the time to comment live on all topics, but it can be done. For example, you could call in for City Council comment at noon; hop over to the State meeting at 1:30 pm to talk about State offices or Congressional Districts; then jump back into the City Council discussion of the LAUSD map, which begins at 2:15 pm.

Los Angeles City Council

The draft City Council Districts map being discussed on November 23 was adopted by the City Council on November 9. It replaces the October 2021 map proposed by the LA City Council Redistricting Commission. For comparison, here is the map of current City Council Districts.

To make public comment during the meeting:
  • phone 1 (669) 254-5252
  • enter Meeting ID 160 535 8466 then press #
  • Press # again when prompted for participant ID
  • Once admitted, press *9 to join the queue

LAUSD

The draft LAUSD map to be discussed on November 23 was adopted by the LA City Council on November 9, 2021. Here are current LAUSD maps for comparison.
The LA City Council will move on to discuss this proposed LAUSD map beginning at 2:15 pm, after they finish their discussion of the draft City Council Districts map. Here are the meeting details:

State Redistricting

(US Congress, State elected offices)
The California Citizens Redistricting Commission recently released draft maps for the State’s Congressional, State Senate, State Assembly, and State Board of Equalization Districts. All State Redistricting maps are available here.
You may submit your comments in writing, or phone in to comment live during the meeting on Tuesday, November 23.
Please note that while the meeting runs from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm, comments are only being made by appointment until 1:30 pm, and appointments are full. However, anyone may speak during the open public comment period from 1:30 - 2:30 pm. Comments about any Congressional or State district are welcome.
To ensure you are able to speak during the open public comment period, you must join the queue before the 2:30 pm cutoff time. Here’s the meeting schedule and details:
