There were no immediate reports of spills or injuries associated with the derailment.
A train derailed and overturned in Granada Hills Monday morning, but there were no immediate reports of injuries or ongoing danger from the derailment.
The derailment occurred just after 8 a.m. at 14351 North San Fernando Road, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
"One or more freight railroad cars derailed and overturned," said Humphrey. "Undetermined cargo."
According to Humphrey, there was no spill or fire linked to the derailment.
